Professional career:

Employed between 1979 and 2006   by the Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique (CEA - French Atomic Energy Commission)

 

1979-1983 – Research Engineer at the Research Centre of Valduc (CEA/DAM) Research in Intense Light Ion Beams Physics for Inertial Confinement Fusion.

1983-1985 – Head, Detonation Physics Section – Centre of Vaujours (CEA/DAM)

1986-1988 – Deputy Head, Service for Special Technologies, CEA/Saclay

1988-1990 Manager, French Special Isotope Separation Project (SIS) CEA/Saclay

1990 -1994 – Head, Department of Enrichment Processes - CEA/Saclay

1994-2000 – Director of the Fuel Cycle Directorate, CEA/Headquarters and CEA/Marcoule

2000-2004 – Nuclear Weapons Director at CEA/DAM – CEA/Bruyères le Chatel and between  2002 and 2004, Laser Mega Joule Deputy Director

2004-2006 Director, Administration, Finance and Information Technology, CEA/Head quarters

Since Jan. 2007 : joined Electricité de France (EDF) as Special Advisor for Nuclear R&D and International Issues at EDF/Generation
